In our 6th round of donations, we delivered 10 bags filled with newborn essentials for The Center for Refugee Services in San Antonio, Texas.

We are happy to report that we were able to facilitate and secure a $5,000 community donation from The Morrison and Forester Foundation for The Center for Refugee Services. This was a very generous donation that will be used to provide refugee women and their families with a variety of essential products and educational services.

In our 5th round of donations, we delivered 20 bags filled with newborn essentials to The Center for Refugee Services in San Antonio, Texas!

We have recently become involved with Culturingua, which helps to cultivate, promote, and preserve Middle Eastern, North African, and South Asian (MENASA) cultural, linguistic, and artistic heritage and invests in community and economic resettlement of refugees.
One of their programs I participated in was "SEWING FOR SUCCESS", which enables Afghan women to contribute to family finances by learning or improving their skills. We went with Afghan families to a fabric store with an interpreter and a sewing instructor. We had the opportunity to provide financial support and help the Afghan women select designs, fabric, thread, ribbon, and elastic.
On the 25th, (San Antonio's World Refugee Day), I was one of several volunteers, who modeled the traditional Afghan clothing made through the "SEWING FOR SUCCESS" program in a fashion show, where dress sales went to support the talented Afghan women and their families.

In our 4th round of donations, we delivered 50 health & wellness bags that had a total of 2,500 items to The Center for Refugee Services in San Antonio, Texas. Thank you to all of our donors and partners!

In our 2nd round of donations, we delivered 50 health & wellness bags that contained 2,350 items total to The Center for Refugee Services in San Antonio, Texas. These bags, 47 items in each, were distributed to refugee and immigrant women.

Our donations went a long way to enable us to provide over 2300 items in 50 health & wellness bags (46 items in each bag) to support migrant and refugee women's health. COVID-19 has made it challenging to buy and sanitize the items but your generous donations allowed us to keep going. The center was very appreciative of the support and sent us this thank you letter,
